Vermont’s vision is that adults have access to mental health services that promote mental wellness and enhance recovery. To achieve this vision, The Department of Mental Health:
- Oversees mental health agencies to provide adult mental health services accessible to individuals in their local communities;
- Oversees mental health agencies to provide individualized treatment services and supports that address emotional and psychological distress;
- Recognizes that earlier interventions can promote earlier stabilization and reduce or eliminate risk factors that may inhibit personal recovery;
Our mission is to provide effective services to adults in psychological distress, creating meaningful support systems and connections within their communities.
