The Adult Needs and Strengths Assessment (ANSA) is a multi-purpose tool developed for adult’s mental health services to support decision making, including level of care and service planning, to facilitate quality improvement initiatives and to allow for the monitoring of outcomes of services. The ANSA is the adult version of the Child and Adolescent Needs Assessment (CANS), which is used widely throughout the State. The Department of Mental Health is asking the advisory group to provide input into the Vermont version of the ANSA, inform and implement trainings, support policy development, inform utilization of EHRs for individual and program level reporting and provide peer and practice support. ANSA Implementation Team is Chaired by Alison Krompf, Director of Quality and Accountability, Department of Mental Health and Samantha Sweet, Operations & Care Management Director, Department of Mental Health.
